Clay shooting coach. Former England representative. Based in Cheltenham.
The story I started shooting when I was 10 — introduced to it by my grandfather, which is probably the best way anyone can come to the sport. By 13 I was competing. Junior county events led to national competitions, and eventually I shot for England.
That background shapes how I coach. I know what it feels like to pick up a shotgun for the first time, and I know what it takes to shoot at the highest level. Most of my clients are somewhere in between - and that's exactly where good coaching makes the biggest difference.
Why I coach Coaching isn't just about hitting more clays. It's about understanding why you're missing them. I focus on technique, mount, and timing - the fundamentals that make everything else click into place. Every session is 1-on-1, paced around you, and built on honest feedback that actually helps.
I coach complete beginners, improvers working on a specific issue, and game shooters preparing for the season. Whatever level you're at, the approach is the same - practical, personal, and no clock-watching.
